The Troy Foundation Grants

The Troy Foundation Distribution Committee reviews grant requests quarterly on the third Thursday in March, June, September and December. Grant requests from charitable organizations are considered for projects and programs in the fields of arts and culture, education and youth, recreation, and health and human services. Funded programs must benefit the residents in the Troy City School District. Applications from outside that area may be considered if the funded program supports a substantial population within the Troy City School District.
To submit a grant request, a completed and signed application with all necessary supporting documentation and six copies must be submitted and received at The Troy Foundation offices by the 15th day of the month preceding the grant review meeting. We regret that incomplete applications and applications submitted past the deadline will not be considered. The Grant Application Guidelines provide a detailed outline of grant proposal requirements. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation’s Executive Director or Program Officer for assistance in determining eligibility for a grant and working through the proposal process.
Applicants requesting funding of $2,000.00 or less may use the simplified Mini-Grant application process which is explained in detail in the Grant Application Guidelines. The application, deadlines and notification process are the same as for all other grants but less supporting documentation is required.
Grant applicants will be notified in writing of the decision of the Distribution Committee within 10 days of the grant review meeting. Those who are approved will be required to return a completed Grant Acceptance Document before funds can be disbursed and will be required to submit a Final Report Narrative within ninety days of receiving the grant or at the completion of the project or program for which the funds were received.
