In keeping with our mission of improving the quality of life for the community, The Troy Foundation awards grants for charitable purposes that benefit the citizens of Troy and Miami County. Grants are awarded from The Troy Foundation General Fund and from a variety of funds designated for specific purposes and may be awarded in the fields of arts and culture, education and youth, recreation, and health and human services. Quarterly grant requests are reviewed by The Foundation’s Distribution Committee in March, June, September and December.
The Troy Foundation Apple Grant Program provides teachers of students in grades pre-k through 12 who reside in Troy or Concord Township funding to enhance the educational experience in their classrooms. Grant requests may not be for more than $1,000.00 and may be submitted at any time.
The Stouder Memorial Foundation’s mission is promoting healthcare in Troy and Miami County and offers funding assistance to The Upper Valley Medical Center and to health care related charitable organizations in Miami County, Ohio. Grant requests are reviewed quarterly in January, April, July and October.
The Harstein-Favorite International Vocational Fund was created by Edward and Thelma Hartstein to provide vocational and social economic transfer of knowledge worldwide. Grants are awarded to individuals and organizations in the Upper Miami Valley for projects that provide opportunities for multi-national and national vocational development and an international understanding and appreciation of cultural and social economic diversity. Grant requests are reviewed quarterly in March, June, September and December.
