Letter to the Editor
Thank you for your support

To the Editor:

On July 2nd, Troy's Public Square was filled with the music of the Cincinnati Symphony Regional Pops Orchestra conducted by Vince Lee.

The concert, co- sponsored by The Troy Foundation and the City of Troy, featured musical favorites from the movies and the traditional Stars and Stripes finale. Each year this event provides an opportunity for the residents of Troy and our surrounding community to come together as part of the Independence Day holiday celebration and, for many, has become a summer tradition.

We would like to thank the following businesses, individuals and organizations who provided financial support for this year's concert: Kerber Sheet Metal; Baird Funeral Home; Mark Bentley, D.D.S.; Stewart and Marilyn Lipp; Thom and Pat Robinson; C. Miles and Linda Schmidt; Robb and Joann Howell; Joel and Nancy Walker; Ted and Gayle Mitchell; Arthur and Gail Haddad; and the Troy Rotary Foundation.

We would also like to thank Troy Christian High School for generously providing a rain location and members of the City of Troy staff and Troy Police Department who assisted with the logistics of the concert.

Last but not least, we would like to thank those who attended the concert. The Symphony enjoys its performance in Troy each year because of the warm welcome they receive here. We look forward to hosting the concert again next year and invite everyone to come and enjoy.
