June Grants Awarded

At their June meeting, the Distribution Committee of The Troy Foundation reviewed twenty-four grant applications and awarded sixteen organizations a total of $143,034.87 in grants. Grants were awarded to the following:

  • St. Patrick Catholic School - $1,950.00 in support of the Muse Machine Program
  • Troy Mayors’ Concert - $4,000.00 in support of the 2010 concert
  • Troy Recreation Association - $3,500.00 in support of the Summer Lunch Buddies Program
  • Troy City Schools - $9,100.00 in support of the TroyOhio Reads Program at Kyle Elementary School
  • Miami County CISV - $3,750.00 in support of the 2010 Summer Village
  • WACO Historical Society - $17,000.00 for improvements to the WACO barn
  • Troy-Hayner Cultural Center - $2,526.00 in support of Arts and Humanities Month in October
  • Troy City Schools - $1,250.00 in support of the Muse Machine Program at Concord Elementary School
  • Troy City Schools - $2,700.00 in support of the Kids to College Program at Van Cleve School
  • Habitat for Humanity of Miami County - $10,000.00 in support of the Miami County Neighborhood Stabilization Program
  • Troy Community Works - $25,000.00 to assist with the renovation of property at 221 E. Main St. that will house the organization’s offices
  • City of Troy - $31,600.00 in support of improvements to the Treasure Island Marina Area
  • CASA/GAL of Miami County - $1,484.00 for computers and software
  • Troy-Miami County Public Library - $18,284.00 to assist with replacing the roof of the Local History Library
  • Mayors’ Troy International Council - $5,500.00 in support of the 2010 Festival of Nations
  • Troy Christian Schools - $5,390.87 to purchase materials for a Science and Technology Room

All grants were awarded from the Troy Foundation General Fund.

The Committee also voted to award a “Here’s to Your Success” Grant of $250.00 to Lincoln Community Center to fund their “I Like Me” Club. The “Here’s to Your Success” Grant Program was established to provide unsolicited grants to charitable organizations to fund beneficial and unique services and projects in the community.

Next grant deadline is Monday, August 17th by 4:00pm
